UW-Eau Claire to Offer Graduate Courses
Designed for English/Language Arts Teachers

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/Extension will offer “Trends and Issues in Teaching English/Language Arts,” four one-credit graduate courses designed for English and language arts teachers of all grade levels. The courses, which meet Wisconsin Teacher Standards WTS1, WTS2, and WTS3, are related but may be taken independently.

Dr. Helen Dale, professor of English at UW-Eau Claire, will teach all four of the following courses, which she designed to meet specific requests from area English and language arts teachers.

“Teaching Writing Effectively,” 5 to 7:40 p.m. Mondays, Oct. 27-Nov. 24
“Teaching Language/Teaching Grammar,” 5 to 7:40 p.m. Tuesdays, April 6-May 4, 2004.
“Effective Group Work in the English Classroom,” June 7-10, 2004
“Current Perspectives on Teaching Literature,” July 12-15, 2004.
