UW-Eau Claire to Offer Seminar
On Managing Projects and Project Teams

 MAILED:  Sept. 11, 2003

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW Extension will present “Managing Projects & Project Teams,” a two-day seminar designed for managers, team leaders and supervisors.

“Managing Projects” will be offered in Eau Claire Oct. 8-9 at Sweetwaters Restaurant. Michael Kiefer is the instructor. Kiefer headed a high-output multi-million dollar DNA fingerprinting lab and directed the Powermind System Project. He is a successful author and well-known tactical leadership trainer.

Participants will learn techniques for planning, scheduling and controlling projects. Leading project teams — working together efficiently and effectively to meet project deadlines — also will be discussed.

Future sessions of “Managing Projects” are scheduled in La Crosse Nov. 5-6 and in Baldwin Feb. 11-12, 2004. For a complete schedule of dates, locations and additional program information, call Continuing Education at (715) 836-5637 or (800) 582-5182, or e-mail

“Managing Projects” is part of the Supervisory Management Certificate program co-sponsored by the Small Business Development Center, UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse and UW-Extension.
