EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, Sept. 15. All events are free and open to the public.

Sunday, Sept. 21:

• Professor of music Richard Fletcher on clarinet, senior lecturer Kristine Fletcher on bassoon, and professor of music Barbara Wimunc-Pearson on piano will perform a faculty recital of 20th-century trios for clarinet, bassoon and piano at 2 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. The program will begin with Christopher Weait’s “Ten by Three,” followed by Ivana Loudová’s seven-part “Italian Trio.” The second part of the concert will feature a trio by Benjamin Gutiérrez and Trio, Op. 1 by Gerhard Wuensch. The research and study of 20th century trios for clarinet, bassoon and piano and the recording of selected works was supported by a sabbatical leave and a Research and Creative Activities Grant to Richard Fletcher from UW-Eau Claire.
