EAU CLAIRE - Four students set to attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire this fall have received Blugold Fellowship Awards and Chancellor's Scholarships.
Crystal Otto, Phillips, Evan Perrault, Colgate, Andrew Wagner, Racine, and Emily Weber, Marshfield, all received both prestigious awards. Thirteen other students also received Blugold Fellowships and 68 other students also received Chancellor's Scholarships.
Blugold Fellowships are given annually to up to 20 incoming freshmen based on academic record, national test scores, an essay, and school and community leadership and service. The fellowship provides an opportunity to do research with or serve as an assistant to faculty. In addition, each recipient will receive a scholarship and a stipend. The funds, administered through the UW-Eau Claire Foundation, are renewable for a second year.
Chancellor's Scholarships are given to incoming freshmen who rank in the top 25 percent of their graduating classes and score well on ACT or SAT tests.
Otto is a graduate of Phillips High School and the daughter of Stephen and Betty Otto. She plans to major in accounting.
Perrault is a graduate of Germantown High School and the son of Keith and Cynthia Perrault. He plans to major in journalism.
Wagner is a graduate of William Horlick High School and the son of Michael and Claire Wagner. He plans to major in chemistry.
Weber is a graduate of Columbus High School and the daughter of James and Sherrie Weber. She plans to major in music.
