UW-Eau Claire's eight-week
Summer Session begins today and continues through Aug. 1. Nearly 2,500 students are enrolled in Summer Session courses this year. Summer classes allow students to move toward graduation more quickly, enroll in high-demand classes or take classes with fewer students so they can get more individual attention. Most classes meet in the morning, allowing students to work, study or relax in the afternoons. Jan Morse, who coordinates Summer Session, can talk about these and other reasons students take summer classes, and answer other questions about Summer Session. You can reach Morse at (715) 836-2033 or
