Space Available in 26th Annual Summer Institute
For Elementary, Middle School Students

EAU CLAIRE - Space is still available in courses for elementary and middle school children during the second session of the 26th Annual Summer Institute, July 14-24, sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education in partnership with the Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire area school districts.

The program offers summer enrichment courses for children in the Chippewa Valley. The institute emphasizes interactive, hands-on activities. Classes meet at Lakeshore Elementary School or on the UW-Eau Claire campus. Class times vary.

The following courses are available for elementary students: "Folk Toys and Games"; "Jan Brett Books"; "All Arthur, All Morning"; "Puppets Live Here"; "Grazie, Tomie Paola"; "Good Vibrations"; "Life in a Mayan Village"; "A Little Spanish"; "Beginning Sign Language"; and "The Lost City of Eau Claire."

The following courses are available for middle school students: "Horse Lovers"; "Beginning Sign Language"; "Exploring Entomology"; "Writer's Workshop"; and "Good Vibrations."

Tuition is $65 per class. The Chippewa Falls School District will pay the tuition of two classes per child for residents of the district. The Eau Claire Area School District will pay the tuition of one class per child for residents of the district. There is a $15 materials fee and lunch supervision is available for $10 per child (required for full day students in grades 1-5).
