Ethics Seminar for Social Workers

EAU CLAIRE - UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension has scheduled an additional presentation of "Ethics and Boundaries." This popular program, designed for social workers, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at the Plaza Hotel & Suites in Eau Claire.

Dr. Nick Smiar, UW-Eau Claire professor of social work, will begin with an overview of professional codes of ethics and the NASW code of ethics that was revised in 1999. Approximately one-half of the program concentrates on boundary and related ethical issues. A model for decision-making in ethical dilemmas will be presented.

This program meets Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing social work certification requirement for training on ethics and boundaries.
