EAU CLAIRE - Achievement, competence and confidence are often associated with the gifted and talented, yet some possess sagging self-esteem and have unanswered social and emotional issues. Presenter Judy Gailbraith will explore below the surface of highly able students at a "Celebrating Gifted Education" conference to be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, June 19, at the Plaza Hotel & Suites in Eau Claire.
Gailbraith is a passionate and practical advocate for providing children and teens with the guidance and skills they need to become caring, healthy, responsible and productive. She is a recognized expert in gifted and healthy communities/healthy youth and has worked with gifted children, teens and their parents and teachers for over twenty years.
The conference is sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education. Tuition is $98 for .6 CEUs or $285.62 for one graduate credit (additional class on June 20 is required for graduate credit).
