Claire German Club
To Host German Potluck Dinner

EAU CLAIRE - The German Club and German National Honor Society at the University
of Wisconsin-Eau Claire are hosting a German Potluck on Friday, May 9, at Grace
Lutheran Church, 202 W. Grand Ave., Eau Claire.
The event boasts a traditional German main dish of meatballs served over handmade
spaetzle, red cabbage and German desserts such as Schwarzwalder Kirschtorte (Black
Forest tort) and strudel. Guests are kindly asked to bring a side dish or salad
to pass.
Large German bretzeln (pretzels) and tortes/cakes also will be offered for sale.
Students and faculty members will provide entertainment in the form of skits and
songs. There will also be a polka band! The club invites community members to
come for the delicious food and stay for the delightful entertainment.
Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m., followed by the entertainment program. Advance tickets
are $4 at the University Service Center, 836-3727. Tickets will be $5 at the door.
