UW-Eau Claire Commencement Speakers

Kevin Keane, a 1987 UW-Eau Claire graduate who is now assistant secretary for public affairs for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will deliver the "Charge to the Class" during the afternoon commencement ceremony May 17 at UW-Eau Claire.

The afternoon ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. in Zorn Arena.

UW-Eau Claire's Alumni Association will honor Keane earlier in the day with the Alumni Distinguished Achievement Award recognizing his professional accomplishments and his service to the state and nation.

Tommy Thompson, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will deliver the "Charge to the Class" during the morning ceremony May 17 at UW-Eau Claire.

The ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. in Zorn Arena.

Approximately 1,100 students will graduate during the two ceremonies. Students from the College of Arts and Sciences and graduate students will participate in the 9:30 a.m. ceremony. Students from the College of Business and College of Professional Studies will participate in the 2 p.m. ceremony.
