Hospice Foundation of America's 10th Annual
Living With Grief Teleconference

EAU CLAIRE - Defining a public tragedy and looking at ways health care and other professionals can appropriately respond and offer support will be the topic of a live-via-satellite televised broadcast April 30 in Eau Claire.

The "Living with Grief" teleconference will air from 12:30-3 p.m. at the Dunn County Extension Office, 800 Wilson Ave, Menomonie, and the Eau Claire County Extension Office, 227 First Street West, Altoona. A discussion will follow the teleconference from 3-3:30 p.m.

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education, and the Dunn and Eau Claire County Cooperative Extension will sponsor the teleconference and discussion.

The broadcast is designed to benefit professionals as they support their communities and help people cope with losses that accompany public tragedies. Participants may include police, firefighters, rescue and emergency service personnel, hospital ER staffs and schools officials.

ABC news correspondent Cokie Roberts will moderate the 21/2-hour panel discussion. Panelists will include physicians, nurses, other health care professionals and educators.

The $25 course fee covers instruction, UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education/Extension CEUs and program book.
