Safety Checks
To Be Offered at UW-Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Police, Children's Center
and Chippewa Valley SAFE KIDS Coalition will cosponsor a child car seat check
from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 24. The free event will take place in the parking
lot behind the Children's Center and Zorn Arena.
Child passenger safety seat technicians certified by the National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration will inspect car seats in vehicles and educate adults who
transport children on the correct installation and use of car seats. This check
is a way for trained technicians to show parents the proper way to install the
seats to keep each child safe.
The Chippewa Valley SAFE KIDS Coalition is a nonprofit organization that promotes
the safety of children.
