EAU CLAIRE - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire
will host the 46th Annual Juried Student Art Show April 16-May 11 in the Foster
Gallery of the Haas Fine Arts Center. An opening reception will be held from
7:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, with awards and art scholarships announced
at 8 p.m.
Artwork by Michael Noll, a UW-Eau Claire junior who died late last year, will
be displayed in the gallery in honor of his memory.
Amy Arntson, a painter and art professor at UW-Whitewater, will select and judge
the submitted student artwork for this year's show. Arntson's work was shown
in the Foster Gallery's Wisconsin landscape exhibit earlier this spring.
The show is open to all UW-Eau Claire students. Works entered must be original
and produced in the past year.
"The show allows all students the opportunity to have their works judged
by outside artists and have their work displayed in the Foster Gallery,"
said Tom Wagener, Foster Gallery director.
Foster Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays, 6-8 p.m. Thursdays and
1-4:30 p.m. weekends.
For more information about gallery exhibits, call Tom Wagener at (715) 836-2328.
