Concert Chorale
To Present Spring Concert

EAU CLAIRE -Women's Concert Chorale at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire
will present a concert at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 6, in Gantner Concert Hall of the
Haas Fine Arts Center.
The ensemble, conducted by Alan Rieck, assistant professor of music and theatre
arts, will begin the performance with "Singers All" by Barbara Sletto.
Women's Concert Chorale also will perform "Alleluia" by Randall Thompson,
"Dance on My Heart" by Allen Koepke, and "Hail Holy Queen"
from "Sister Act," arranged by Marc Shaiman and adapted by Roger Emerson.
Sophomore Stacie Olson, Neenah, will accompany the ensemble.
The performance also will include "Lily of the Valley," composed by
Moses Hogan and commissioned for the UW-Eau Claire Women's Concert Chorale in
2002. This piece will be performed in loving memory of Moses Hogan, who died this
year.
The Women's Concert Chorale is one of seven choral ensembles at UW-Eau Claire.
The group specializes in the study and performance of music written specifically
for treble ensembles and is comprised of female students from a variety of academic
disciplines. The ensemble performs concerts and tours and is featured annually
at the UW-Eau Claire Viennese Ball.
Tickets, available at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727 or 1-800-949-UWEC,
are $4.75 for the general public; $3.75 for those 62 and older, children 17 and
younger and faculty and staff with a university ID; and $1.25 for students with
a university ID.
