Sponsors Battle of the Bands

EAU CLAIRE - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Organization of New Entrepreneurs
is one of the sponsors for a Battle of the Bands that began on Thursday, March
27, and will continue for the next two Thursday evenings, April 3 and 10, at Club
Malibu (formerly the Metro Club) in downtown Eau Claire.
The event will give local bands a chance to compete for a two-hour spot on the
Leinenkugels stage at this year's Summerfest in Milwaukee. Bands performing will
include The Drivers, SMR, Mahogany Skigh, Day Old Bread, and The Revelations.
Last year's winner, Orestus, will perform on April 10.
The Battle of the Bands will run from 9 p.m. to closing all three nights. Cost
of admission is $2 the first two nights and $3 for the final night of competition.
Other sponsors of the event include Leinenkugels Brewing Co., the CARP (99.9 FM)
