EAU CLAIRE — To keep the spirit of African American History Month alive well into March, The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will host "African Sounds: A Celebration of African Song, Dance, Music and Storytelling."
"African Sounds" will be held in Schofield Auditorium from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 28, and is open to the public. Tickets are $5 ($3 with a Blugold I.D.).
Profits from "African Sounds" will go toward the Manyatta UW-Eau Claire African Student Emergency Fund.
Sponsors for the event include the Manyatta Club, the West African Drumming Society, the Association of International Students and the Center for International Education.
Tickets are available at the University Service Center in Davies Center or at the door. Advance ticket purchases are encouraged.
