EAU CLAIRE — In honor of National Women's History Month, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will host a series of events in March. This year's theme is "Pioneering Women in the Past, Present and Future." All events are free and open to the public.
Saturday and Sunday, March 1 and 2
- 6 and 8:30 p.m. — Film: "The Color Purple." Davies Theatre.
Monday, March 3
- 7 p.m. — Speaker/Poet: Alix Olson. Schofield Auditorium.
Tuesday, March 4
- 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. — Film: "A Passion for Justice: Feminism in the 21st Century." Davies Theatre.
Wednesday, March 5
- 3:30 to 5 p.m. — Panel: "Women in the Business World: Opportunities and Challenges." Moderated by UW-Eau Claire assistant professor of marketing, Rama Yelkur. Reception to follow. Presidents Room, Davies Center.
Thursday, March 6
- 4 to 5:30 p.m. — Women's Studies Awards Night. Davies Theatre. Reception to follow in Skylight Lounge
Friday, March 7
- 7 p.m. — Women's Night In. Student programming: guest speaker, films and discussion. Towers Hall.
