Teacher Candidates To Meet
With CESA 10 Officials March 1
MAILED: Feb. 18, 2003
EAU CLAIRE —School administrators and principals can jumpstart their recruiting and hiring needs at the first Meet the CESA 10 Districts event on Saturday, March 1, at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
The event, which will be set up like a teacher fair, will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m. in the Skylight Lounge of the Davies Center. Current student teachers who will be looking for immediate teaching vacancies as well as education students from all levels are expected to attend the event.
"We know these school officials are eager to make early connections with our students, and our students are very interested in meeting with school representatives as soon as possible in their college career," said Jeanne Skoug, director of Career Services.
School officials are invited to bring some of their high school students to the event. "This would be an excellent opportunity for them to describe their school to our university students as well as to learn more about teaching as a possible career," Skoug said.
The event is sponsored by campus education organizations Student Wisconsin Education Association, Future Teachers Club and Kappa Delta Pi along with the School of Education and Career Services.
