For the Week of Feb. 24

         EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, Feb. 24. All events are free and open to the public.

Tuesday, Feb. 25:

• Jennifer Phillips, Appleton, will present a clarinet recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. The senior comprehensive music major will begin the performance with Sonata for Clarinet in B flat and Piano by Francis Poulenc. Phillips also will perform Prelude, Allegro and Pastorale for Clarinet and Viola by Rebecca Clarke; "Premiere Rhapsodie" by Claude Debussy; and Sources III for Clarinet and Percussion by David Burge. Junior Linnea Brown, Roseville, Minn., on viola, and senior Eric Becker, Hartford, on percussion, will assist Phillips during her performance. Beverly Soll will provide piano accompaniment.
