Recognized With Cabaret Scholarships![]()
MAILED: Jan. 2, 2003
EAU CLAIRE — Eight University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students will be recognized at the university's 25th annual Cabaret, themed "Silver Anniversary." The students were chosen to receive $400 Cabaret scholarships on the basis of their contributions to the choral ensembles and the annual Cabaret.
The students were chosen last spring to receive scholarships for the 2002-03 school year. To apply, students wrote short essays describing how their participation in the choral programs had contributed to their undergraduate experience at UW-Eau Claire. The faculty members of the voice/choral area then chose the recipients.
Cabaret scholarships were awarded to junior George Cleary, a comprehensive music major from River Falls; sophomore Noah Haas, a health care administration major from Rice Lake; senior Ross Janke, an elementary education major from Owatonna, Minn.; sophomore Matt Knihtila, a comprehensive music major from Phillips; sophomore Adam Krajnik, a music therapy major from Mishicot; junior Justin Lundberg, a comprehensive music major from Eau Claire; senior Emy Polodna, a music major from LaCrosse; and senior Jenifer Schwartzhoff, a biochemistry and molecular biology major from Eau Claire.
Cabaret, a 10-month project with an operating budget of $18,000, has raised more than $175,000 for student scholarships in the voice/choral area. The scholarship recipients will be recognized on Cabaret opening night, Jan. 16, in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center.
