Monday, Sept. 16
Foster Gallery Exhibit. Art Faculty Show, an exhibit of artwork by the studio faculty of the UW-Eau Claire art department, will be on display. Works by Steve Katrosits and Bobby Pitts will be featured. Through Oct. 3 in the Foster Gallery of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays; 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays; and 1 to 4:30 p.m. weekends.  

McIntyre Library Tours. Tours will begin in the Grand Corridor near the library's main entrance Mondays at 5:30 p.m., Tuesdays at 3 p.m., Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and Thursdays at noon. Through Sept. 30.

Tuesday, Sept. 17
School of Nursing Lecture. Andreas Buescher, a nursing professor from the University Witten-Herdecke in Witten, Germany, will present "Movements in Nursing Education in Germany." School of Nursing 104, 11 a.m.  

Chicago Art Trip Informational Meeting. The art department will sponsor its annual trip to Chicago Nov. 8-10. The trip is open to UW-Eau Claire students, faculty and staff, and community members. An informational meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in Room 105 of the Haas Fine Arts Center. For more information, send e-mail to Bobby Pitts at pittsbl@uwec.edu.



Wednesday, Sept. 18
Women on Wednesdays Discussion. The university community is invited to a panel discussion titled "Addressing Sexual Assault at UW-Eau Claire: A Panel Discussion." The event will highlight the sexual assault support services available to the university community. Representatives from several campus and community organizations will participate. Jazz at Night. University musicians present the best in jazz. The Cabin, Davies Center, 8 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 19
Soccer. Concordia University at Eau Claire, 4 p.m.  

International Roundtable Presentation. Heinz K. Seitinger, an adviser to the CEO of the Austrian Business Agency in Vienna, will present "Emerging Markets of Eastern Europe and Their Future." Seitinger represented Austria at UW-Eau Claire's Viennese Ball from 1982-88. Sponsored by the Center for International Education and the College of Business. UAC Film. "Mullholland Drive." (France/U.S. 2001, directed by David Lynch, 145 minutes, rated R.) A sense of evil binds an ever-tightening group of strangers in this gripping thriller starring Naomi Watts, Laura Elena Harring, Justin Theroux and Ann Miller. Tickets are $2 at the Service Center for IFS members and UW-Eau Claire faculty/staff or $1 for UW-Eau Claire students. Davies Theatre, 6 and 8:30 p.m. Through Sept. 22.
Artists Series. Red Priest, a British early-music ensemble that has redefined the art of period performance, will open this year's Artists Series season. Named after the infamous flame-haired priest, Vivaldi, the four-player group will perform "The Four Seasons" as it has never been heard before. The ensemble's new arrangement of the baroque masterpiece employs a dazzling array of effects to depict the sounds and scenes of a year in the Italian countryside. Tickets, available at the Service Center and at the door, are $15 for the public; $13 for those 62 and older and UW System/ CVTC faculty/staff; or $5 for those 17 and younger or UW System/CVTC students. Saturday, Sept. 21
"A Day in the Park." Following the Alzheimer's Memory Walk, the UW-Eau Claire student chapter of the American College of Health Care Administrators will sponsor this event which celebrates the special relationship that local nursing home and rehabilitation residents have with family members and friends. Student volunteers will be coordinating games and activities, and a picnic will be provided for all in attendance. Carson Park, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
