Faculty Presentation on Assigning/Grading Student Writing. Ruth Cronje, English, will present "The Dream of a Common Language: Toward Interdisciplinary Vocabulary and Standards for Reacting to Student Writing." The presentation will focus on proposing a vocabulary for common problems that crop up in student writing (regardless of discipline) and open a discussion about common standards that could be used across disciplines in responding to these problems.For more information, contact Cronje at cronjerj@uwec.edu or 836-5384 or Harry Jol at jolhm@uwec.edu or 836-3472.
