Amanda Hughen artworkFoster Gallery Exhibit. An exhibit titled "Drawing beyond Edges" runs through Feb. 19. Curated by art & design faculty members Jill Olm and Scott Robertson, the show examines the importance that materials and processes play in contemporary drawing approaches in the large-scale drawings of Amanda Hughen, Edward Mayer, Cal Lane and Fraser Taylor. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays and 1 to 4:30 p.m. weekends. More information.

Panel Discussion on Bone Marrow Registry Drive. In preparation for a March 3 Bone Marrow Registration Drive at UW-Eau Claire, an informational panel discussion will be held. Students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to bring their lunches and have their questions answered about how to save a life by signing up to be a bone marrow donor. Rick MillerMartin Mogensen Education Lecture. Education strategies designed to help all children succeed will be the topic of a presentation by nationally recognized child advocate Rick Miller during the sixth annual Martin Mogensen Education Lecture. Miller's lecture, "Kids at Risk, Kids at Hope," lecture will focus on how schools and nonprofit agencies can adopt a cultural strategic framework to support the success of all children. Robin and Linda Williams and Their Fine GroupArtists Series. Robin and Linda Williams and Their Fine Group will perform a combination of bluegrass, folk, old-time and acoustic country music. Their band is a renowned live act, performing in a range of venues including the Grand Ole Opry, Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. Tickets, available at the Service Center, are $17 for the public, $15 for those 62 and older and UW System/CVTC faculty/staff, or $7 for those 17 and younger and UW System/CVTC students.
