Labor Day Holiday. UW-Eau Claire offices closed.

Corner Store productsCorner Store Open. The Corner Store in Davies Center will reopen today as UW-Eau Claire's first organic and natural food store. Blugold Dining implemented the change in response to increasing customer requests for organic and all-natural foods. Free product samples will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today through Sept. 5. More information.

nature/recycling graphic'Labor of Love' Community Projects. A number of UW-Eau Claire students will spend Labor Day helping with community projects. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" posterCampus Films. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie." (U.S./Hong Kong 1990, directed by Steve Barron, 93 min., rated PG). When four turtles are exposed to radioactive waste they mutate into giant turtles that walk on two legs and talk. They are taken in and taught martial arts by a rat who also mutated as a result of the waste. With their training they begin to clean up the crime ridden streets of New York City. UW-Eau Claire Fall Semester Classes Begin.

Photography Exhibit. An exhibit titled "20 Homecomings" will feature the work of UW-Eau Claire photographer Rick Mickelson. Grand Corridor, McIntyre Library. Through Oct. 6. More information.

Blugold football player1st and 10 Luncheon. UW-Eau Claire's head football coach Todd Glaser and his staff will provide video highlights of the previous week's Blugold football game and offer comments on the upcoming game. The cost for the luncheon is $6 per person and includes a sandwich, beverage and cookie provided by Mancino's. Lipizzaner StallionsUAC Special Event. This show features the world-famous Lippizzaner Stallions on their 37th anniversary tour. Many horses and riders were brought from Europe to perform in the company. Over the years, more than 25 million people throughout North and South America, Great Britain, Europe, Australia and Hawaii have seen this internationally acclaimed spectacle, which last appeared at UW-Eau Claire in 2004. Children's Planetarium Program. Today's show, "Myths of the Summer Sky," will feature stories of the stars and constellations. Tickets are $2 and will be sold at the planetarium before the show. L.E. Phillips Planetarium, 11 a.m. to noon.

school bus'See EC' Bus Tours. Buses will take UW-Eau Claire students around Eau Claire to help familiarize them with the city and its offerings. Buses will leave Towers Hall every half hour from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
