The Nov. 2 Forum presentation at UW-Eau Claire was the subject of the Nov. 3 Leader-Telegram article "Vets share recent war experiences." The VoteSmart Web site, created by UW-Eau Claire students in Mike Dorsher's Public Affairs Reporting class, was the subject of the Nov. 2 WQOW-TV story "Pod Politics: Using iPods to Prepare for Election." Lisa Herb, kinesiology, was featured in the Nov. 1 Leader-Telegram article "Winning ingredient — More than two decades later, Herb still has recipe for success." Erik Hendrickson, physics and astronomy, and his "Science Theatre" program were featured in the Oct. 31 Leader-Telegram article "Learning under pressure — Professor demonstrates science through program."

Michael Wick, computer science, were quoted in the Oct. 28 Leader-Telegram article "Capital project — Couple gives $5 million to university. " Doug Dunham, physics and astronomy, was quoted in the Oct. 26 Leader-Telegram article "Speakers: Nano era already begun." Kate Lang, history, and UW-Eau Claire graduate Melissa Holmen were quoted in the Oct. 26 Leader-Telegram article "Historical present — UW-EC history department gets award, $5,000."
