'Class Matters' videoconference set for April 16
On Monday, April 16, the Network for Excellence in Teaching and Computing Assistance & Training will present the UW System-sponsored videoconference "Class Matters: Breaking Down Class Barriers in the Workplace and the Classroom" from noon to 1 p.m. in Old Library 1132.
The keynote speaker will be Betsy Leondar-Wright, author of "Class Matters: Cross-Class Alliance Building for Middle-Class Activists" and co-author of "The Color of
Wealth: The Story Behind the U.S. Racial Wealth Divide."
Event co-sponsors are the UW Colleges and UW-Extension Status of Women Committee, the UW System Women's Studies Consortium and the UW System Women and Science Program. More information.

Bill Hoepner's photo "Birth of a DAM (Digital Asset Management) Photographer” was a second-place winner in the personal vision category of the February University Photographers Association of America image competition. His photo was taken in the UW-Eau Claire server room to illustrate an article for an upcoming UPAA newsletter. Rick Mickelson’s photo “Indie America Hosts” was a third-place winner in the portraits division of the same competition. View photos.
