Kathleen Sahlhoff, Financial Aid, was interviewed for the WEAU-TV story "College Goal Sunday Helps High School Students, Parents Apply for Financial Aid." Super Bowl advertising research by Chuck Tomkovick and Rama Yelkur, management and marketing, was cited in a graphic titled "The Super Ad Bowl: Two Decades of Players," which accompanied the Feb. 6 New York Times article "Thanks to the Web, the Scorekeeping on the Super Bowl Has Just Begun." Tomkovick also discussed Super Bowl advertising on the Wisconsin Public Radio show "Conversations with Joy Cardin" Feb. 5 and was quoted in the Feb. 5 Leader-Telegram article "Amateur hour — Wisconsin talent contributes to Super Bowl ads." A photo of UW-Eau Claire student Reid Filiatreaux accompanied the Feb. 6 U.S. News & World Report article "Freezing Students Demand Snow Days." Andrew Soll, Business and Student Services, was interviewed for the WEAU-TV story "Class As Usual For UW-Eau Claire Students." Todd Wellnitz, biology, was featured in the Feb. 5 Badger Herald article "Career grant to aid research." The article discussed the National Science Foundation Career Grant Wellnitz recently received. April Bleske-Rechek, psychology, was quoted in the Feb. 4 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article "Looking good could be fertility tip-off." Wayne Carroll, economics, was quoted in the Feb. 3 Leader-Telegram article "Educator from Vietnam attends class at UW-EC." Jill Smith, geography and anthropology, and UW-Eau Claire student Bill Verthein were quoted in the Feb. 1 Leader-Telegram article "Author shares story of lynching." Charles Farrell, University Centers and Programs; Jeanne Skoug, Career Services; and UW-Eau Claire student Elizabeth Nelson were quoted in the Feb. 1 Leader-Telegram article "New Dulany delights diners — UW-EC changes deemed tasteful." Kris Anderson, Admissions, and UW-Eau Claire student Alyssa Kotzian were quoted in the Jan. 30 Leader-Telegram article "Reilly says academics still will matter most." |
