Super Bowl advertising research by Chuck Tomkovick and Rama Yelkur, management and marketing, was cited in a sidebar titled "Breaking Down the Ads," which accompanied the Feb. 2 New York Times article "Colts and Bears and Kevin Federline." Their research also was the focus of the Feb. 2 WQOW-TV story "Super Research on Super Bowl Ads" and was mentioned in the Jan. 26 Advertising Age article "Super Bowl Delivers for Summer Blockbusters — Study: Smaller Movies Airing in Spring Don't Do as Well." Jennifer Johs-Artisensi, management and marketing, was interviewed for the WEAU-TV story "Healing Wisconsin's Sick Health System." UW-Eau Claire was mentioned in the Jan. 31 Dunn County News article "Triple play — Initiative partners UW-Stout, CVTC and UW-EC to attract new industry." UW-Eau Claire was mentioned in the Jan. 31 WEAU-TV story "Doyle's Nanotechnology Push in the Chippewa Valley." Chris Theo, art & design, was interviewed for the WEAU-TV story "City of Eau Claire Could Get New Downtown Identity." Justin Patchin, political science, was quoted in the article "Bad kids go hi-tech: Enter the cyber-bully!" which appeared in the Jan. 31 issue of The Economic Times. UW-Eau Claire alumna Ann Christy Dybvik was featured in the Jan. 31 Dunn County News article "History of Menomonie captured in new book — Local author Ann Christy Dybvik provides tribute to the community." Susan Turell, women's studies/psychology, UW-Eau Claire student Amy Oldakowski and alumnus Dan McNeely were guests on the Wisconsin Public Radio show "The West Side" Jan. 30. They discussed the new women's studies major at UW-Eau Claire and other issues related to gender justice. The Jan. 29 feedback sessions on UW System admissions policies were the subject of the WEAU-TV story "UW System Admissions Policy." UW-Eau Claire was mentioned as a
honorable mention recipient of a
Andrew Heiskell Award for Innovation in International Education in the Jan. 24 Chronicle of Higher Education News Blog article "Four Campuses Win Awards Recognizing Innovation in International Education." |
