Information sessions on Tax-Sheltered Annuity Program to be held
The UW System Tax-Sheltered Annuity Program is a supplemental retirement savings program authorized by section 403(b) of the Internal Revenue Code. All UW System employees are eligible to participate, and employees can enroll at any time.

Through the TSA Program employees can invest a portion of their income for retirement on a pre-tax basis. Investment options include a wide array of mutual funds and fixed and variable annuities managed by six authorized investment companies and the Wisconsin Retirement System.

Representatives from the following companies will be in the Human Resources office (Schofield 220) to meet with employees during February and March.

Free hearing tests to be offered
Free hearing tests will be offered to UW-Eau Claire faculty, staff, students and their immediate families on Thursday afternoons this semester at the Center for Communication Disorders. Those interested should call 836-4186 to make an appointment. Appointments are limited.

Marketplace announces specials, new Blimpie hours
This semester, the Davies Center Marketplace will feature new specials in the Blu Plate Diner and Blimpie. The Blu Plate Diner introduces a "Burger of the Week" special. Featured burgers will include the Pepperoni Pizza Burger, Salsa-Topped Veggie Burger, a Greek Burger and many more. Blimpie will feature a "Sub of the Week" for a special discounted price. Both specials will run all semester. Blimpie will also be open on weekends from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays. Weekly specials can be found on the Blugold Dining Web site.

Wellness classes to be offered this semester
UW-Eau Claire will offer a number of wellness classes for the spring semester, including "Mind and Body Fitness Yoga," "Pilates," "Belly Dancing," "Chinese 18 Postures," "Tools to Tame Stress," "Alexander Technique" and "Restorative Yoga." New offerings include "Thai Yoga Bodywork" and "Sensational Creations." Detailed information about each of the offerings is available online.
