Change to PeopleSoft (SFS) will happen July 1
UW-Eau Claire will begin using the UW System shared financial system, PeopleSoft (SFS), on July 1, 2007. By the end of 2007, all UW System campuses will be using the same financial system.
The conversion to PeopleSoft will mean some significant changes for UW-Eau Claire campus financial system users, including new terminology; the use of WISDM, a Web-based tool for accessing fiscal year 2008 financial information; a change from local account numbers to "funding strings"; and the discontinued use of the current Bridge financial pages.
UW-Eau Claire's Business Services staff is currently receiving training on the use of PeopleSoft and WISDM. This training may cause some minimal delays in transaction processing such as check preparation, expense transfers, etc. Closer to the system go-live date of July 1, 2007, training will become generally available for other campus financial system users.
