UW-Eau Claire Classes Resume After Thanksgiving Recess.

Circle K Gift of Love Project. UW-Eau Claire's chapter of Circle K International is sponsoring its 12th annual Gift of Love project through Dec. 2. The item and cash donation drive provides critical winter necessities for Eau Claire families with limited resources. More information.

McIntyre Library Display. A new exhibit titled "McIntyre Library Puts a Book in Your Hands" traces the process by which a university press publishes a book, and how staff members in collection development, cataloging and circulation areas of the library acquire the book and make it accessible to patrons. The exhibit, designed by Jan Bogstad, McIntyre Library/Women's Studies; Jim Oberly, history/American Indian Studies; Ross Guida, UW-Eau Claire student/Blugold Fellow; and John McCrackin, McIntyre Library, will be on display through Dec. 15 in the Grand Corridor of McIntyre Library.

University Band Concert. Directed by Randal Dickerson, the group will perform a variety of works. Tickets, available at the Service Center, are $4 for the public; $3 for those 62 and older or 17 and younger; or free for UW-Eau Claire faculty, staff and students. In post war Sweden it was discovered that every year, an average housewife walks the equivalent number of miles as the distance between Stockholm and Congo while preparing her family meals. So the Home Research Institute sent out 18 observers to a rural district of Norway to map out the kitchen routines of single men. Sponsored by the International Film Society. UAC Special Event. Lori Line and her Pop Chamber Orchestra will present a show titled "My Favorite Things: The 2005 Holiday Extravaganza." The show will showcase Line's personal favorite styles in fashion and music. This holiday extravaganza will have a vintage feel to it and the music will feature many favorites of the 1940s and 50s.
