Long-term care planning presentation to be held Nov. 3
WREA logoLinda Grzesik of the Wisconsin Retired Educators Association will give a presentation on long-term care planning for UW-Eau Claire faculty and staff Thursday, Nov. 3, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Eagle Room of Davies Center. 

The presentation will cover such topics as tax advantages for long-term care protection, return of premium options if care is not needed, protection of assets from state and government changes and allowances for care-giving of family members. The WREA program offers a choice of several long-term care companies at discounted rates for members and their families. International Speakers Bureau available
The UW-Eau Claire Center for International Education announces the Fall 2005 International Speakers Bureau, made up of international students who wish to speak about their native countries. The group consists of 22 students from the following countries: Austria, China, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Latvia, Malaysia, Moldova, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Vietnam. The speakers can discuss a variety of topics including culture, language, educational systems, political and economic systems, social and family values and many others. Trip to see 'West Side Story' planned
A trip to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater in Chanhassen, Minn., is planned for Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, for dinner and a performance of "West Side Story." The cost is $55 per person and includes transportation, dinner and a ticket to the show. A bus will leave Towers Hall at 3:30 p.m. and will return after the show.
