Following are examples of UW-Eau Claire people and programs that recently appeared in the media. NOTE: Some newspapers, including the Leader-Telegram, require free registration. UW-Eau Claire’s study abroad programs were featured in the Oct. 13 Leader-Telegram article “Going places — Studying abroad offers a broad range of assets.” Colleen Marchwick, Center for International Education, and UW-Eau Claire student Jim Hahn were quoted in the article. Gary Schwartzhoff, music and theatre arts; Marcia Van Beek, Foundation; and UW-Eau Claire student Joshua Andrew were quoted in the Oct. 13 Leader-Telegram article “Master Singers to present composer’s varied songs.” UW-Eau Claire student and volleyball team captain Molly Menard was featured and quoted in the Oct. 12 Leader-Telegram article “Queen of kills.” Volleyball team coach Lisa Herb, kinesiology, and co-captain Shanna Berger also were quoted in the article. Student bus transportation through Eau Claire Transit was the subject of an Oct. 10 WQOW-TV story. The 30th Annual Indianhead Area Special Olympics Bowling Tournament, sponsored by UW-Eau Claire and area bowling lanes, was the subject of an Oct. 8 WQOW-TV story. |
