Following are examples of UW-Eau Claire people and programs that recently appeared in the media. NOTE: Some newspapers, including the Leader-Telegram, require free registration. Sharon Sabatke, Continuing Education, was interviewed on WQOW-TV and Wisconsin Public Radio Aug. 30 about the Synergy Conference to be hosted by UW-Eau Claire Sept. 14 and 15 in Eau Claire. Mary Ryan-Miller, Student Development and Diversity, was interviewed on WQOW-TV Aug. 29 for a story about the effect of Hurricane Katrina on UW-Eau Claire students studying in New Orleans as part of the National Student Exchange Program. Edward Young, economics, was quoted in the Aug. 28 Leader-Telegram article "U.S. getting lost in red sea — Bankruptcy stats on rise." |
