Following are examples of UW-Eau Claire people and programs that recently appeared in the media. NOTE: Some newspapers, including the Leader-Telegram, require free registration. Sharon Sabatke and Ann Rupnow, Continuing Education, were quoted in the Aug. 28 Leader-Telegram article, "More than a buzzword: Conference to focus on synergy," about the third annual Synergy Conference to be hosted by UW-Eau Claire Sept. 14 and 15 in Eau Claire. Todd Hoffner, head men's football coach, was interviewed on WQOW-TV Aug. 26 for the story "Football fix: Too much weight or just part of the game?" Donald Mowry, Center for Service-Learning, was quoted in the Aug. 25 Leader-Telegram article, "UW-EC student projects add up: Contribution of services estimated at $1.5 million," about the impact of the university's service-learning program on the Chippewa Valley. Patti See, Academic Skills Center/Women's Studies, was interviewed on WQOW-TV Aug. 22 and on
the Aug. 26 broadcast of the Wisconsin Public Television program "Here and Now" about her recent kidney donation. Sharon Sabatke, Continuing Education, and Andrew Phillips, Graduate Studies and Academic Affairs, were interviewed on WEAU-TV Aug. 17 about the upcoming Synergy Conference in Eau Claire. |
