'Pink Sheet' Notice of Meetings

GF parking permit applications due May 12
Applications for 2006-07 Guaranteed Faculty/Staff (GF) parking permits have been distributed to all UW-Eau Claire employees through campus mail. Employees who currently have GF permits must submit new applications.

If you need an application or have questions about the application process, contact Dorothy Nelson, Business and Student Services, at nelsondo@uwec.edu or 836-5182. The application deadline is Friday, May 12.

Fiscal year end deadlines and procedures
All unpaid invoices for fiscal year 2006 must be received in Accounts Payable (Schofield 104) by 4:30 p.m. June 16 to be charged to fiscal year 2006 budgets. These invoices include low dollar orders, miscellaneous invoices, reimbursement claims for travel expenses incurred during fiscal year 2006 and all payment to individual request forms for payment of services rendered through June 30.

Charges appearing on your procurement card (purchasing card) and procurement travel card (institutional liability card) statement dated June 16 will be the last charges posted to fiscal year 2006 budgets. The charges will be posted to university budgets June 26 for purchasing cards and June 27 for procurement travel cards. To ensure that all credit card charges are posted to June 16 statements, it is recommended that card holders stop using procurement and procurement travel cards by June 10 or earlier. Do your part to reduce utility expenses
To help reduce UW-Eau Claire’s electrical bills, the Physical Plant Planning Committee of the University Senate, Facilities Planning and Management, and Learning and Technology Services ask you to:

        • Turn your computer monitors off at night. Do not turn off your CPU — "log off" instead.
        • For weekends, short vacations and extended absences, turn off your monitor and "shut down" your CPU.

Be aware that when you turn your computer on after an extended absence, it will be slow, as it is processing updates from the system.
