UW-Eau Claire student John Raymond and his band, The John Raymond Project, were featured in the March 24 Jazz Police article "The John Raymond Project: Riffs of the Young Philosophers."
William Frankenberger, psychology, and UW-Eau Claire graduate student Jennifer Stroh were interviewed on WQOW-TV March 23 for a story about Frankenberger and Stroh's parent survey of knowledge and attitudes related to use of stimulant medication to treat ADHD.
Janet Carson (emerita), art & design, was featured in the March 23 Leader-Telegram article "Granddaughter turns soldier's letters into book."
Todd Glaser, who recently was named UW-Eau Claire's new head football coach was featured in the WEAU-TV stories "Blugolds Hire Todd Glaser As 15th Head Football Coach" and "Glaser Thrilled to Be Back with Blugolds" and the March 22 Leader-Telegram article “Glaser to take over UW-Eau Claire football team.”
UW-Eau Claire alumna Becky Mauch, the photographer for the Foster Gallery exhibit "Artshoe," was interviewed for the March 21 WQOW-TV story "Walk in the Past: Exhibit Looks at History of Shoes." The exhibit, on display March 21-25, also was featured in the March 16 Leader-Telegram article “An Eau Claire woman’s fancy footwear collection is stepping out at a local art gallery in what might be characterized as … Shoe and tell” and the WEAU-TV story "Decades of Shoes."
Senior Americans' Day at UW-Eau Claire was the subject of a March 21 WEAU-TV story and March 22 Leader-Telegram articles “Fun, education highlight day” and “UW-EC welcomes seniors — Drug program irritates Kohl’s constituents.” In addition, Donna Raleigh, Learning and Technology Services, and La Vone Sneen, Continuing Education, were quoted in the March 13 Leader-Telegram article "Strengthen self at UW-EC event — Day offers nearly 50 workshops."
Heather Pearson, Admissions, was quoted in the March 16 WQOW-TV story "SAT Soaks Up Criticism: Wet Tests Mismarked."
Larry Honl, business communication, and UW-Eau Claire students Jana Anderson and Theo Howard were quoted in the March 16 Leader-Telegram article "Students get lesson in money managing."
Lance Dalleck, kinesiology, was interviewed for the March 14 WQOW-TV story "Gatorade vs. Chocolate Milk?"
UW-Eau Claire student Jacqueline Chambers was interviewed for the WEAU-TV story "UW-Eau Claire Student Raises Almost $1,400, Has Head Shaved for Charity."
UW-Eau Claire student Jenny Wolter, a member of the UW-Eau Claire Women's Volleyball team, was interviewed for the WEAU-TV story "UWEC Women's Volleyball Team Going to Italy."
UW-Eau Claire student Andrew Werthmann was interviewed for the WEAU-TV story "Protest Marks Third Anniversary of Iraq Invasion."
Deb Newman, Housing and Residence Life, and UW-Eau Claire student Emily Ascher were interviewed for the March 13 WQOW-TV story "Making the Grade: Dorms Dependable GPA Boosters."
Karl Markgraf, Center for International Education, was interviewed for the March 10 WQOW-TV story "Falling Number of Foreign Students."
UW-Eau Claire student Jason Fehlen was interviewed on B-95 radio in early March about a trip he his leading with the UW-Eau Claire student chapter of Habitat for Humanity. He and the group will help build houses in Florida during Spring Break.
Michael Christopherson, art & design, was quoted in the March 11 Leader-Telegram article "Everybody’s a critic."
Donald Christian, College of Arts and Sciences, Jennifer Shaddock, English, and James Phillips, chemistry, discussed higher education on the Wisconsin Public Radio show "The West Side" March 6. The program can be accessed online.
