Following are examples of UW-Eau Claire people and programs that recently appeared in the media. NOTE: Some newspapers, including the Leader-Telegram, require free registration. Tracy Yengo, athletics, was quoted in the Nov. 19 Leader-Telegram article "UW-EC to host nationals — Cross country championships set for this weekend." Jeanne Skoug, Career Services, and UW-Eau Claire students Lucinda Hohmann and Travis Karpowicz were interviewed for a WQOW-TV story about the increase in jobs for college graduates. Geoff Peterson, political science, was interviewed for a Nov. 16 WQOW-TV story about a survey he conducted in Chippewa Falls regarding balancing the city's budget. Eric Jamelske, economics, was quoted in the Nov. 14 Leader-Telegram article "Entrepreneurial spirit, capital needed for jobs." Ron Satz, academic affairs, was featured in the Nov. 13 Leader-Telegram article "One happy return — A desire to get back to his university post kept provost fighting through cancer battle." The Hmong New Year celebration Nov. 13 and 14 at UW-Eau Claire was the subject of a Nov. 13 WQOW-TV story. |
