Following are examples of UW-Eau Claire people and programs that recently appeared in the media. NOTE: Some newspapers, including the Leader-Telegram, require free registration. Mort Sipress, emeritus, political science, provided election analyses on Wisconsin Public Radio Nov. 2. Dick Boyum, emeritus, Counseling Services, was interviewed on WEAU-TV Nov. 1 about the emotional response people have to the pre- and post-election process. Rodd Freitag, political science, was a guest on the Wisconsin Public Radio show "The West Side" Nov. 1 to discuss access to voting. Freitag also was quoted in the Oct. 31 Leader-Telegram article "Health care high on voters' list of concerns" and the Oct. 28 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article "Where cow is queen, candidates milk dairy issues — Bush, Kerry push agriculture to forefront of Wisconsin campaigns." Rick St. Germaine, history, was quoted in an articled titled "BIA head proposes Chemawa makeover — An official recommends a 'total restructuring' of the bureau's Indian schools, including the one in Salem where a girl died" in the Oct. 24 issue of The Oregonian. |
