Cash handling procedures
Faculty and staff are reminded that all cash and/or checks received on behalf of the university must be processed in a timely manner in accordance with UW-Eau Claire Cash Handling Procedures. For more information, contact Jackie Kriesel at kriesejd@uwec.edu or 836-2520; or Dave Gessner at gessnedp@uwec.edu or 836-2517.
Use of university resources
Faculty and staff should be aware that pursuant to policies, including the Wisconsin Administrative Code, UWS 8, the Classified Employees Work Rules, and the UW-Eau Claire Policybook (section 5:16), university resources are to be used for official university business only. This includes the use of office supplies, equipment, telephone calls (local, long distance, STS, and cell phones), photocopying and duplicating services and fleet vehicles. Reimbursement to the university by individuals (including employees and students) and organizations for the cost of materials and services inappropriately used is not sufficient justification to ignore this restriction. More information is available online.
Holiday decorations
Holiday decorations can be purchased from university administered funds only for general reception areas for students and the public. These areas have been identified as the lobbies of the following areas: Haas Fine Arts Center (outside of Gantner Hall), residence halls, University Centers and Programs, University Recreation and Health Services; and as the campus grounds (certain outside areas). University administered funds cannot be used to purchase decorations for any other areas. For more information, call Accounts Payable at 836-4739.
