Chancellor Mash was quoted in an article titled "The Lay of the Land — What factors affect giving today?" in the September 2004 issue of Currents, a publication of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. Eric Jamelske, economics, was quoted in the Oct. 3 Leader-Telegram story "Economic pressures influence electorate — Parties align differently on business, wage issues." Go to top of page

Mike Dorsher, communication and journalism, was quoted in the Sept. 30 Leader-Telegram story "Professor to study audio, visual effects of debates — Theory: Message reduced by sight," about Dorsher's research project relating to the presidential debates. Dorsher and Rodd Freitag, political science, also were interviewed on WEAU-TV Sept. 29 about the debates. Go to top of page

UW-Eau Claire student Shawn Everhart was featured in the Sept. 30 Leader-Telegram story "Photographing star may lead to bigger things for student" and a Sept. 24 WEAU-TV story about his experience as a photographer for the Dave Matthews Band during a recent Farm Aid concert in Seattle. Dick Boyum, emeritus, Counseling Services, also was quoted in the Leader-Telegram article. Go to top of page

Joanne Mellema, Health Services, was quoted in the Sept. 29 Leader-Telegram article "Program helps UW-EC students end tobacco use — New endeavor offers nicotine patches," about the free nicotine patches available to UW-Eau Claire students through Health Services. Art and design faculty members Cara Tomlinson and Scott Robertson were quoted in the Sept. 23 Leader-Telegram article "Landscapes inspire artists — Space, light are primary focus of new work," about the recent Foster Gallery exhibit that featured their work. Go to top of page

Harry Jol, geography and anthropology, appeared on a History Channel documentary titled "Investigating History: The Holy Grail." The documentary aired this past spring and now is available on videotape. Go to top of page
