Geography and Anthropology
Harry Jol gave a research presentation titled "Where Jesus Played and Bathed?: Results from a Ground Penetrating Radar Investigation at the Cactus Coffee House, Mary's Well Plaza, Nazareth" at the 6th Annual Batchelder Biblical Archaeological Conference Oct. 28-30, 2004, at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Jim Oberly recently had his book "A Nation of Statesmen" published by the University of Oklahoma Press. The book provides a history of the Mohican people during the 19th and 20th centuries. Go to top of page

 

Management and Marketing
Kathryn Ready recently had her article titled "The Motorcoach Travel Industry: Traveling in an Uncertain Environment" published in the Journal of Transportation, Law, Logistics and Policy, Second Quarter 2005, Vol. 72, No. 8, pages 185-198. The article was co-authored by Kathryn Dobie, a former UW-Eau Claire faculty member, now at North Carolina A&T State University. Go to top of page

 

Music and Theatre Arts
Kristine Fletcher and colleague Susan Bawden (Augustana College, Rock Island, Ill.) presented a session titled "Bassooner the Better: Troubleshooting" at the annual conference of the Iowa Bandmasters Association May 13 in Des Moines.

 

The Wisconsin Wind Quintet (Tim Lane, flute; Christa Garvey, oboe; Richard Fletcher, clarinet; Kristine Fletcher, bassoon; Verle Ormsby, horn) presented a concert/clinic, "Build a Better Band Through Chamber Ensembles," at the Iowa Bandmasters Association Conference in Des Moines on May 13. On May 12, the quintet presented two concerts/clinics at Stillwater (Minn.) Area High School and a concert and instrumental clinics at Woodbury (Minn.) Junior High School Go to top of page
