Dear faculty/staff member,

Throughout this academic year, the Davies Center Exploratory Committee has been exploring the possibility of renovating/expanding Davies Center and the future of recreation facilities/programs. Thus far, the process has included focus groups and interviews with students, faculty, staff, and alumni about their perceptions of Davies Center and campus recreation facilities/programs. It is essential to the university that the concepts for enhancing Davies Center are further tested for feasibility prior to embarking on physical space planning, site analysis and design. 

The university has hired the firm of Brailsford and Dunlavey (B&D) to conduct this assessment. To complete the study, B&D has developed a survey tool to evaluate the capacity for renovated and/or new facilities to accommodate improved programs, services and activity.

All faculty and staff are being asked to participate in this survey assessing campus needs and desires for university centers and recreation facility improvements. As a faculty and staff user of all these campus life venues, your insight and input are crucial to the success of the project. The survey is being administered via the Internet and will be online beginning Wednesday, April 6, through Wednesday, April 13, 2005. 

Please complete the survey no later than Wednesday, April 13, to ensure that your responses will be included in the consultant’s analysis. The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete. Your participation is absolutely confidential. The information gathered through this survey will not be individually identifiable and will be used in group form only.
