Following are examples of UW-Eau Claire people and programs that recently appeared in the media. NOTE: Some newspapers, including the Leader-Telegram, require free registration. Mort Sipress (emeritus), political science, discussed Wisconsin election results with Kathleen Dunn April 6 on Wisconsin Public Radio. Melissa Werner, coach of the UW-Eau Claire Equestrian Club, and student A.J. Kunsman, the club president, were interviewed on WQOW-TV April 6 for a story about the new club. Geoff Peterson, political science, was interviewed on WQOW-TV April 5 for a story about orders from President Bush and Gov. Doyle to lower flags in honor of Pope John Paul II. Charlene Burns, philosophy and religious studies, was interviewed April 4 in a WQOW-TV story and a Leader-Telegram article about the public's reaction to the pope's death. |
