First UW System conference for program assistants and administrative professionals announced
The Power of Professionalism, a UW System conference for program assistants and administrative professionals, will be held Thursday, June 2, at UW-La Crosse.

Guest speakers Tom Thibodeau, Viterbo University, and Beth Erickson, Coulee Region Women magazine, will be featured. Thibodeau will present "The Power of Our Words and Presence"; and Erickson will present "All for One or One for All?" Conference attendees also may choose four of 12 different sessions to attend. An office supply and technology vendor fair also will be held during the conference.

Graduate Studies office in new location

'Eight Silken Movements' classes to be offered
Classes in "Eight Silken Movements," an ancient form of Korean Qi Gong, a method of training the body, breath and mind to improve health and longevity, will be offered through University Recreation in April and May. Classes will be held Wednesdays April 6, 13, 20 and 27 from 5 to 6 p.m. in McPhee 110. The cost is $18 for UW-Eau Claire faculty, staff and students; or $30 for community members.
