Student Development and Diversity Recognition Award nominations due April 8
The Office of Student Development and Diversity invites nominations for the second annual Student Development and Diversity Recognition Awards to be presented April 27.
The awards recognizing people who have shown exemplary efforts in facilitating the development of students and in promoting diversity on campus will be given in the following areas: Staff Excellence, Student Organization, University Staff Excellence, Instructional Excellence, Student Assistant, Diversity Teacher/Scholar and Diversity Advocate.

Nominees sought for Classified Staff Scholarship
The Classified Staff Scholarship is a $500 endowed scholarship created to provide financial assistance to the children, grandchildren or other nominees of UW-Eau Claire permanent classified staff members and permanent classified staff retirees.
Eligibility criteria:
• Applicants must meet admission standards and show proof of acceptance to UW-Eau Claire.
• Applicants must be nominated by a present or retired participating permanent classified staff employee.
• Returning students must be full-time students (12 credits or more) and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or above.
Selection and application information:
The recipient will be chosen at random by a lottery system. A majority of the scholarship committee members must be present for the selection process. Past recipients may reapply each academic year. Women's basketball banquet set for April 9
The UW-Eau Claire women’s basketball awards banquet will be held Saturday, April 9, in the Spruce-Tamarack Room of Davies Center. The banquet will begin at 11:30 a.m., with lunch at noon and a program following lunch. Tickets, available at the Service Center, are $16 and must be purchased by April 1.
