Eileen Oswald, Career Services, and UW-Eau Claire student Heather Franchini were quoted in the Feb. 10 Leader-Telegram article "Businesses work with UW-EC to find internships for students," about UW-Eau Claire's Internship Mania 2005 event Feb. 9. Chad Wade, the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate president, and Erika Dinkel-Smith, a student senator and delegate to the United Council of UW Students, were quoted in the Feb. 10 Leader-Telegram article "Students applaud some of Doyle's UW System plans." Wade and Dinkel-Smith also appeared on WEAU-TV Feb. 9 for a story about student reaction to the governor's budget message. Go to top of page

A UW-Eau Claire Housing and Residence Life survey about students' telephone usage was mentioned in a Feb. 9 WQOW-TV story about cell phone use among students who live in residence halls. A number of universities across the country are eliminating land lines in dorm rooms because of the widespread use of cell phones. Go to top of page
