Chuck Major, Housing and Residence Life, was interviewed on WEAU-TV Dec. 14 about the capture of Saddam Hussein.

Tonja Englund, Blugold women's basketball head coach, and Rachel Becker, Blugold basketball player, were quoted in the Dec. 10 Leader-Telegram article "Miracle shot lifts Blugolds," about Becker's final-second 3-point shot from just inside the halfcourt to give the Blugolds a 66-65 win over UW-Superior.

Carole Halberg, Foundation/Chancellor's Office; Tim Petermann, athletics; and Brady Foust, geography and anthropology; were quoted in the Dec. 9 Leader-Telegram article "Gifts overwhelm," about the large donations committed to UW-Eau Claire and the Eau Claire YMCA by the estate of Lt. Col. George Simpson Jr. The Associated Press article also was picked up by the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the Star Tribune and Wisconsin State Journal. The story also aired on WEAU-TV, WQOW-TV and WAXX/WAYY radio.

Paul Kaldjian, geography and anthropology, and UW-Eau Claire students Renee Rollman and Matt Goethel were quoted in the Dec. 9 Leader-Telegram article "Supplying simple hope," about the UW-Eau Claire Geography Club's project to collect school kits for children in Iraq.

Janet Quarderer, computer science, and UW-Eau Claire students Cindy Smith, Theresa Steffen and Dana Walter were quoted in the Dec. 7 Leader-Telegram article "Computer group aims to educate women," about the UW-Eau Claire student group Women in Information Technology Systems.

Carole Spenser, communication and journalism, was quoted in the Dec. 7 Leader-Telegram article "Nun for all," about the Eau Claire Children's Theatre production of "Nuncrackers."
