geography, has an opinion column with Debra McNutt in the Nov. 2 Leader-Telegram
titled "Mine
victory historic" about the tribal purchase of the proposed
Crandon mine site. Jody Sekas, music
and theatre arts, UW-Eau Claire art and theatre students and the Office
of Research and Sponsored Programs were part of a Nov. 2 feature story
titled "Street
art brightens downtown light touch" about the "Bringing
Art to Light" display in downtown Eau Claire. Monte Ernst, Student
Development and Diversity/McNair program, was quoted in the Nov. 1
Leader-Telegram article "Film
fan scared by older movies" about his fascination with horror
films. Kimberly Barrett,
Student Development and Diversity, wrote an opinion piece titled "The
benefits of diversity flow in both directions," which appeared
in the Nov. 1 Leader-Telegram. Duane B. Oyen,
economics, was interviewed on WEAU-TV Oct. 28. He commented on the
expected outcome of the Federal Reserve's Federal Open Market Committee
meeting that day. Bob Shaw, Student
Development and Diversity, was quoted in the Oct. 28 Leader-Telegram
article "Homecoming
parade behavior under scrutiny." Shaw talked to the Eau Claire
City Council Oct. 20 during a public discussion on homecoming activities.
Brian Christianson, a liaison for Student Senate, also was quoted
in the article. |
