Rita Webb, Advising, Academic Testing and New Student Orientation, was featured in the Sept. 16 St. Paul Pioneer Press article "Eau Claire: woman joining 'peace army' in Sri Lanka," about Webb's forthcoming trip to Sri Lanka to work with the Nonviolent Peaceforce organization. The article, written by the Associated Press, also appeared in the Star Tribune Sept. 15. Additionally, she was featured in the Sept. 21 Leader-Telegram article "Sri Lanka awaits peace activist." Bob Shaw, Student Development and Diversity, was quoted in the Sept. 13 Leader-Telegram article "Steps taken to rein in UW-EC parties." Go to top of page

Todd Hoffner, kinesiology and athletics, was quoted in the Sept. 11 Leader-Telegram article "Turnover specialists — Blugolds football coaching staff has new faces." Mark Sipple, Athletics, also was quoted in the article.

Harry Jol, geography and anthropology, was interviewed on Connecticut's WNPR radio Sept. 11 about his research in Israel. Jol presented his research results at the International Conference on Archaeology, History and Technology Sept. 7, 9 and 10 at the Maurice Greenberg Center for Judaic Studies at the University of Hartford.
